Bertarelli Cutlery was founded in 1967, by Felice Bertarelli on the Hill in St. Louis, Missouri. Felice was born in Carisolo, a small town in Northern Italy near the Austrian border. Carisolo is known for having some of the best skilled "Moletas" (knife sharpeners) in the world. Today, his sons John, Bob, Frank and Marco continue his tradition.
